Eight-month-old baby dies after lid gets stuck in throat; father raises suspicion

KOZHIKODE: An eight-month-old baby died of choking after the lid of a bottle got stuck in its throat. The dead is Muhammed Ibad, son of Nizar of Abeen House in Pokkunnu. The baby was immediately rushed to Kottaparambu Hospital, but the life of the baby could not be saved. The baby died before reaching the hospital. The body has been shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

Meantime, the baby’s father raised suspicion on the death of the baby. Following this, Nizar filed a complaint with the police. The Kozhikode Town Police have registered a case in the incident. He said the baby had sustained injuries in a fall from an auto two weeks ago. The couple’s first baby died when he was 14 days old after choking on breastmilk. All these incidents happened in his wife’s house. Nizar in his complaint raised suspicion in the deaths.
