'Rs 8,472 crore, 30,179 bookings on day one'; Mahindra electric SUV frenzy in India

KOCHI: Mahindra's electric origin SUVs XEV 9E and BE 6 created history by collecting Rs 8,472 crore on the first day of bookings. Electric SUVs received 30,179 bookings on the first day. Last year, total electric passenger vehicle sales in India were around one lakh units.

This new trend shows that the interest in premium electric vehicles is increasing in India. The XEV 9E accounted for 56 percent of the total bookings, while the BE6 model accounted for 44 percent.

The Mahindra B E 6 price starts at Rs 18.90 Lakh while base model SUVs XEV 9E price starts at Rs. 21.90 Lakh.
