CITU worker stabbed to death in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: A CITU activist was stabbed to death during a clash between two factions in Pathanamthitta. Perunad Mampara native Jithin (36) died in the incident. The brutal incident took place at 10:00 pm on Sunday near Kochupalam in Perunad Madathummozhi.

Two people have been injured while one is undergoing treatment at Pathanamthitta General Hospital. Perunad police have taken a few suspects in custody. Citing trivial reasons such as purposefully directing bike lights on faces, the two factions were at odds for some time. Today’s ruckus was the continuation of this feud. Jithin’s body has been shifted to a private hospital. Police will start the inspection soon.
