THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Education Department has started the procedure to find aided and government school teachers who are sending their own children to unaided schools. The Education Department has prepared a list of 120 teachers who are not sending their children to government and aided schools. It is learnt that the list of the remaining teachers will be prepared soon. The list will be published as soon as it is prepared. The Education Department's action comes in the backdrop of the assessment that teachers who receive government salaries sending their own children to private schools is reducing the credibility of the General Education sector.

Although there were a lot of children coming to the General Education sector in the past, it is estimated that there has been a significant decrease in the number of students this academic year. The Education Department is also asking such teachers what message the situation of not enrolling their children even in the schools where they are teachers is sending to the common people. However, no disciplinary action will be taken against such teachers.
