POCSO case: Sentenced to 136 years in rigorous imprisonment

KOTTAYAM: The accused has been sentenced to 136 years in rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 197,500 in the case of raping a minor girl who had come to act in a film. Judge Roshan Thomas of the Erattupetta Fast Track Special Court sentenced M.K. Reji (52) of Madukkakuzhi house in ​​​​Kadayanickadu. The incident took place on May 31, 2023. He sexually assaulted the girl after coming to the house where she was staying on rent. Following the complaint, the accused was arrested by P.G. Rajesh, who was the SHO of Thidanad. Special Public Prosecutor Jose Mathew Thayyil appeared for the prosecution.
