THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Muslim League All India General Secretary and Deputy Leader of the Opposition PK Kunhalikutty said that the League, as a political organization, is doing community service and that the League will always stand firm on the secular path. Kunhalikutty was inaugurating the third anniversary commemoration of Hyderali Shihab Thangal and the 77th Muslim League Foundation Day at the Panakkad Hall in Nandavanam.

"Compared to other states, the activities of the League have been of great help to the Muslim community here in protecting their identity and maintaining moderation in religious matters. It is a great thing that the League has been able to guide the Muslim community on a straight path without resorting to extremism or sectarianism. The tradition of the Panakkad family, including Shihab Thangal, is that it is moving forward by keeping people of different castes and religions together," Kunhalikutty said.

State Secretary Binoy Viswam, who participated as the chief guest, said that the Muslim League is a party with a sense of religion and secularism and that the CPI is a party that has shown courage to say that the Muslim League is not a communal party even when everyone said that it is not. Binoy Viswam pointed out that the League is a party that has the ability to express political ideals while having a religious stance.

Another chief guest, K Muraleedharan, said that the League has always had a long-term vision as a political party. Muraleedharan pointed out that the relevance of the League is as a party that can think about the future of the nation and act without being swayed by temporary emotions.

League District President Beemapally Rasheed presided over the meeting. NIMS Medicity MD Dr. Faisal Khan, Manjalamkuzhi Ali MLA, Dr. SS Lal, Nisar Muhammad Zulfi, Adv. SN Puram Nisar and other leaders were present.
