MALAPPURAM: Police have found the 15-year-old girl who had left her house to meet her Instagram friend. The incident took place in Manjeri the other day. The girl left her home after her brother, who saw a suspicious mobile phone in the hands of the 10th-grade student, scolded her. The girl left saying that she was going to the police station to file a complaint. Later, her family also reached the Manjeri station. However, the police informed that the girl did not come there.

The police immediately started an investigation. The police found out that the girl was in love with a man from Alappuzha, her Instagram friend. They found his number and called him. "I am coming to Tirur to take the girl. Allow us to live together, don't stop us," the man said. Even after explaining the seriousness of the case, he did not want to back down. In the meantime, the girl called the Instagram friend from another phone. An investigation focused on this number revealed that the child was at the Tirur bus stand. The police immediately reached the spot and made the girl understand the seriousness of the matter. Only after talking for a long time did the child agree to go with her parents.

The Instagram friend who reached the Tirur bus stand at this time could not find the girl. With this, he contacted the Manjeri police. After explaining the matter, the police sent the youth back.
