ALAPPUZHA: Former minister and senior CPM leader G Sudhakaran said that there is no such thing as 'cyber warriors' group within the CPM. He also said that those who are attacking him on social media under the guise of CPM cyber warriors are anti-CPM elements. He was speaking at a Consumer Day celebration organized by the Consumers Federation of India in Alappuzha.
Clarifying his stance, Sudhakaran asserted that he is not opposed to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, but alleged that certain individuals are deliberately trying to create that impression. He criticized the cyber attacks against him following his participation in a KPCC event, calling them a sign of political immaturity.
"These attacks are being orchestrated by a small group of 10-15 individuals from Ambalappuzha and nearby areas. Moreover, the accounts involved in these online assaults operate under fake identities. There was nothing inappropriate about attending the KPCC event, where I spoke about Mahatma Gandhi. Many who listened to my speech later reached out to express their appreciation. At no point have I spoken against the communist movement," Sudhakaran stated.
Sudhakaran also made it clear that he has no ambitions of becoming the Chief Minister or a minister again. He affirmed that he would remain a party member and a communist until his last breath. "Expressing opinions is the lifeblood of a communist," he remarked.
Sudhakaran stated that he had not received any letter from K.V. Thomas. He added that Thomas had no reason to send him a letter, as he had never been influenced by or had a close friendship with K.V. Thomas at any point.
