Class 10 girl found hanging at home

POOVAR: A 16-year-old girl was found hanging at her home in Karumkulam. The deceased has been identified as Alakananda, the daughter of Satheesh and Manju, residing in Karumkulam. She was a Class 10 student at Nellimoodu New Higher Secondary School. The tragic incident occurred on Thursday evening.

Alakananda's mother, Manju, who is separated from Satheesh, currently resides abroad. Alakananda and her brother Ananthan were staying under the care of their maternal grandparents, Sumathi and Shari.

On Thursday evening, Sumathi had gone out, leaving Alakananda alone at home. Around 5:30 PM, Ananthan returned home and found his sister hanging in the hall. Shocked, he screamed for help and immediately cut the rope to bring her down. Although she was immediately rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved.
