Plus one student delivers baby, classmate arrested

ALAPPUZHA: A plus one student was arrested after his classmate delivered a baby. The 17-year-old girl, a plus two student of a higher secondary school in Alappuzha, got pregnant from her classmate.

The girl delivered the baby at a private hospital in Alappuzha. The boy, who got scared fled soon after her delivery. He was arrested when he came in search of the girl and the baby. Police have registered a case under the POCSO Act.

Similar reports are increasing. There were reports of a 16-year-old girl giving birth in Kollam. The girl initially said that her fourteen-year-old brother was responsible. The girl said the relationship started as a joke but she got pregnant later.
