THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The recent revelations by Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the actress assault case, had sparked a major discussion. In an interview with a private channel, Pulsar Suni revealed that actor Dileep had offered him Rs 1.5 crore to assault the actress, of which Rs 80 lakh remains unpaid. Now, activist Rahul Easwar has come forward questioning the credibility of Suni’s statement.
Reacting strongly to these claims, Rahul Easwar questioned the authenticity of Suni’s revelations, challenging him to provide concrete evidence to support his allegations.
Easwar pointed out that in the present-day financial system, it is unlikely that such a large amount — Rs 70 lakh — would be handed over in cash without any trace. “If Suni can present material evidence proving that money was indeed paid to him — whether in cash or digitally, when it was paid, and by whom — it could potentially alter the direction of the entire case,” he said.
He further stated that with the case now approaching its final stages, there is reason to suspect that Suni’s latest statement could be an attempt to delay proceedings or divert attention. “Suni claims to have received money from Dileep intermittently, but unless he substantiates those claims with proof in court, such statements hold no weight. Even if a single rupee was proven to have been transferred from Dileep or his associates to Suni, it would change the course of the trial,” Rahul Easwar added.
"The court has ordered that final arguments in the case be completed by April 11. But this sudden twist at the last minute is significant. It remains to be seen whether Pulsar Suni will reveal any evidence. There's doubt about why Dileep is repeatedly associated with the amount of Rs 1.5 crore — first for allegedly assaulting the actress and then for allegedly attacking police officers. Not long ago, someone even claimed that Dileep had paid me Rs 1.5 crore to appear on TV channels and defend him. It appears that Pulsar Suni is once again trying to implicate Dileep and prolong the case in some way. Dileep will undergo a trial by fire and return cleared of all charges," Rahul added.
