THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said Kerala is waging a war against drugs with the good intention of shielding the future generation from a catastrophe. A meeting was held to formulate comprehensive plans to prevent the use and spread of drugs. Various departments explained the activities being carried out as part of anti-drug activities.

The recommendations from the discussion will be reported to the expert committee. A meeting of religious leaders will be held on the 16th of this month, and an all-party meeting on the 17th. The Chief Minister stated that 2,503 drug sources were reported in a short period, and strict action is being taken against those supplying and smuggling drugs.

On Waqf:

"A propaganda is on the run to picture as if Waqf bill would help Munambam natives wriggle out from all the legal hassles. It is just one episode of BJP's newfound Christian love. It won't take long for the natives of Munambam to realise the devious game at play. Jabalpur incident speaks volumes of the reality on the ground. BJP's next target is the catholic church. It won't be long for the Sangh to turn against the church," said CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
