THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan responded to the monthly pay-off case that has now put his daughter, Veena Vijayan, in a dock. CM was talking at a presser in the capital city on Wednesday evening.

CM Pinarayi Vijayan:

“The investigating agencies could have addressed her as Veena, but they chose to drag my name too. The intention is clear. The case against my daughter is just a façade, the real target is me. The party understood this. My daughter did nothing wrong. My daughter and the CMRL company confirmed that the money paid was for the service provided. There are documents showing that GST and income tax were paid on the money paid by CMRL.

When the case was filed against Bineesh, there were no allegations against Kodiyeri. But here, the target is me. The party is convinced of the heinous game at play.’

The Chief Minister responded that no media outlet is reporting the figures of his daughter's company's income tax and GST payments.

“Media wants to draw my blood. Don’t think you will achieve your target any time soon,” said CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
