Twenty-one heroines feature with Mammootty in 'Kalamkaval,' a film led by the debut director Jithin K. Jose. Mammootty takes the lead role in this movie, which introduces an ensemble cast of heroines, including Rajisha Vijayan and Gayathri Arun. Notably, it marks the first time Mammootty shares screen space with 21 heroines in a single project. Rajisha Vijayan also debuts alongside Mammootty in this film, while Gayathri Arun reunites with Mammootty after their previous collaboration in 'One.'
The first look poster of 'Kalamkaval' has heightened audience anticipation, showcasing Mammootty in an entirely fresh look. Earlier speculations suggested Mammootty might portray the antagonist, while Vinayakan plays the lead. However, the release of the poster, featuring the tagline "Wait for Mammootty's never-before-seen performance," has added intrigue. 'Kalamkaval' marks the seventh project under the Mammootty Kampany banner. Jithin K. Jose, who penned 'Kurup' starring Dulquer Salmaan, takes charge of the script, co-written with Jishnu Sreekumar. Faisal Ali leads the cinematography for the film. This is Mammootty's next major release.
Another upcoming Mammootty project is written and directed by Mahesh Narayanan. Shooting is underway in Ernakulam, with Mammootty set to join soon. The film boasts an impressive star cast, including Mohanlal, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, and Nayanthara, and is touted as the most expensive Malayalam production. Shooting is expected to conclude next month.
Mammootty is also anticipated to star in two films by acclaimed directors. Amal Neerad is reportedly working on 'Bilal,' while Nitish Sahadev's next project, after 'Falimi,' will begin filming later this year. The latter film is scripted by actor Anuraj O.B. and Nitish Sahadev.
