'Divya is a sycophant'; aren't right-wingers, including her husband, good?; PJ Kurien criticizes

PATHANAMTHITTA: Senior Congress leader PJ Kurien has strongly criticized Divya S Iyer for praising KK Ragesh. "Divya expressed her opinion in public. Everyone has the right to criticize it. However, speaking against those who criticize is Divya's arrogance," PJ Kurien said.

'Divya says that she praised a member of the family. Is the ruling class the only family? Are the rest outside the family? This is a flawed view. A civil service officer should be impartial. Everyone should be treated equally. Divya has knowledge, but no insight. Divya has sycophancy. She has been branded as a member of the ruling party. She would get many benefits from it. That was the reason for the praise.

Did Divya see only those on the left as good? Humans have a right eye as well. Her husband is on the right wing. Aren't they all good? Seeing a difference in goodness is a kind of eye disease. Divya has crossed the limit of her status as an IAS officer. One should remember that when government changes another government comes, but one still has to work,' said PJ Kurien.

He also reacted to the KPCC's decision to come up with a code of conduct for public interactions. "There is a situation of pushing and shoving. A code of conduct was needed in the Congress. The decision to change the KPCC president belongs to the high command. The functioning of the state Congress should improve further," P J Kurien added.
