'Vincy's ego behind complaint'; Actor Shine Tom Chacko gets bail in drug use case

KOCHI: Actor Shine Tom Chacko is out on bail barely hours after getting arrested in connection with a drug possession case. Shine will have to appear before police only if he is being served with a notice. Shine Tom Chacko's hair and nails were collected for scientific examination. After the medical examination, Shine was released on station bail.

The police believe that the actor fled from the hotel in a bid to destroy evidence. Shine eluded proper answer when repeatedly confronted with the question.

“There is no basis in Vincy’s complaint. What came out was her ego. Vincy is yet to reveal the person’s name who she mentioned was aware about my alleged misbehavior in set. Let the makers of the movie tell the truth over the incident. I haven’t misbehaved with her on set.” said Shine.

Actor Shine Tom Chacko’s crucial statements to the police are now out. Shine admitted to frequently using chemical drug methamphetamine and cannabis. The actor also revealed to the police that he had previously sought treatment at a de-addiction center.

It was the actor’s father who intervened and took his son to a de-addiction center in Koothattukulam but Shine left the place after 12 days.

The police have decided to file a case under the NDPS Act against actor Shine Tom Chacko based on concrete evidence. The police had come to the hotel to search for drug dealer Sajeer. It is reported that Shine admitted to knowing Sajeer.
