KOCHI: The Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce's Monitoring Committee has decided to take organizational action following a complaint that actor Shine Tom Chacko misbehaved with actress Vincy Aloshious during the filming of 'Soothravakyam'. Both Shine and Vincy appeared before the film's Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), where their statements were recorded.
The committee also called for strict measures against drug use on film sets and misconduct towards actresses. It was suggested that individuals who misbehave, disrupt filming, or delay shoots should be removed from the project. A pamphlet explaining the complaint process will be distributed to actors, technicians, and other industry members. The meeting was chaired by Monitoring Committee Chairman G. Sureshkumar, but FEFKA representatives were absent.
Vincy Aloshious stated she will not pursue legal action against Shine Tom Chacko outside the film industry, preferring to resolve the issue internally. She will not withdraw her complaint from the Film Chamber or the Internal Complaints Authority. Vincy expressed regret for previously doubting and accusing Saji Nanthiyattu of leaking her complaint and clarified she will not respond to remarks made by Maala Parvathy.
Kochi City Police Commissioner Putta Vimaladitya said there is no strong evidence against Shine Tom Chacko regarding drug use, though it is clear that Shine is a drug user. Shine has not given a statement about anyone else in the film industry who are using drugs.
