Twist in air force officer's assault case in Bengaluru, new video surfaces

BENGALURU: There is a twist in the attack towards a couple serving in the Indian Air Force. Air Force Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose posted a video with blood on his face and neck the other day, saying that a man on a bike attacked him and his wife Squadron leader Madhumita Bose.

Shiladitya said that a biker stopped their car and started abusing them.

The biker abused them in Kannada. When he saw the DRDO sticker on his car, he said ‘You DRDO people', abused them again. He also picked up a stone and tried to hit the vehicle. He also said that he hit himself on his head with the stone.

However, the police said that both sides attacked each other. A new video has emerged to prove this. The new video shows the accused, Vikas Kumar, and the officer attacking each other on a pavement in Bengaluru.

The officer pushed the accused, wearing a green neon jacket, away and grabbed him by the neck while his wife tried to stop him. The video also shows people on the footpath trying to grab them. Vikas Kumar is seen calling someone in the video. The officer then hits him. Although the video has gone viral, it is not clear what led to the attack. A case has also been registered against Shiladitya on the complaint of Vikas Kumar.
