KOZHIKODE: Famous playback singer and Kozhikode native Mridula Warrier and her family are relieved to have returned home unharmed from Pahalgam. The singer with her family decided to cut short their Kashmir vacation on Monday, which now seems like a god-made decision.
“The last point of the five-day journey was Pahalgam. I couldn't reach there because the tour package time had expired. I reached within a kilometre of the nearest one. The place was filled with tourists."
Mridula, who returned from Kashmir, was speaking to Kerala Kaumudi. The family, consisting of Mridula, her husband Arun, and their daughter, left for Kashmir on the 16th along with four other families from the Thrissur flat where they currently live. They returned from Srinagar on the 21st.
"All of us were in gloom for missing the picturesque Pahalgam. But the next day, we were shocked to hear the news. It felt like someone gave me back my life”
Mridula is a singer with more than two hundred songs in her repertoire.. She also won the 2023 State Award. Mridula is a native of Koyilandy Chelia, Kozhikode. She currently lives in Thrissur.
