SANAA: Israel retaliated twice within 24 hours after Houthi rebels launched an attack near Ben Gurion Airport in Israel. Earlier, the Israeli Air Force conducted heavy airstrikes on Sana'a airport in Yemen. Israel claimed that the Sana'a airport was completely rendered non-operational, and that they targeted three passenger planes, the departure hall, the runway, and a military airbase.
Israel had launched an attack on the Yemeni port city of Hudaydah on Monday in response to a missile attack by the Houthis in Yemen on Sunday. Israel had also targeted Sana'a airport in December of the previous year. In yesterday's attack, 20 fighter jets caused significant damage in Hudaydah, which is a key area for Houthi operations. Israel has accused the Houthis of using Hudaydah to transport weapons coming from Iran to various locations.
Today, Israel claimed to have launched heavy attacks on power supply centres in Sana'a. In response to these airstrikes, the Houthis have stated that they will not leave Israel's attacks unanswered and will continue to support Gaza.
