67-year-old woman killed in elephant attack

THRISSUR: A 67-year-old woman was killed in an elephant attack at Malakkappara. She has been identified as Mary staying in a place on the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The incident happened Thursday early morning on Malakkappara-Valppara border. Her house is on the left side of the Sholayar Dam. She was staying with her daughter in the house. The wild tusker tried to destroy her house. Seeing this, Mary got scared and tried to run but the elephant followed and killed her. The police have reached the spot.
