KOLLAM: Complaint alleging that Plus Two students were kept out of class for not cutting their hair. The complaint is that 14 students were kept out. The students of Mylapur AKM Higher Secondary School, Kollam have come forward with the complaint.

The students are alleged to have said that they would cut their hair tomorrow as the barber shop is closed today, but the school authorities did not listen. The students say that they had to stand outside the school, drenched in the rain. The school authorities have responded that the students' complaint is baseless.

A complaint was made yesterday that a class nine student was made to stand out of class for cutting his hair incorrectly. The incident took place at Holy Angels School, Adoor, Pathanamthitta. The student's parents have filed a complaint with the Human Rights Commission and the CWC.

'When I went to school, two teachers caught me. They asked for my father's phone number. They said that if my father did not come, I would not be allowed to come to class. I had cut my hair yesterday but they said that it was not cut properly. They kept me out for three hours,' the student said.
