The injured woman, Bindu (50), wife of the late Vinod from Pulickal house in Kalappura, has been admitted to a private hospital in Ernakulam with serious injuries.
The accident occurred around 8:40 AM yesterday on the Alappuzha bypass road, south of the old toll gate at Kommady.
