School building collapses in Alappuzha; no fitness certificate

ALAPPUZHA: The building of Karthikalli UP School in the district collapsed. A major accident was averted as it was a holiday. It is reported that the school building did not have a fitness certificate. Headmaster Biju said that classes were not held in this building.

This is an old building. The headmaster said that he had warned the students from going to this area. The incident happened Sunday morning. There was heavy rain in the district. The roof of the school building collapsed in between this.
