Thalapathy Vijay, who has been a top star in Tamil cinema for over three decades, has now decided to end his film career and fully engage in politics for social welfare, completing his last film “Jana Nayagan” and becoming a full-time politician. The film is being directed by H. Vinoth, who has directed hits like “Sathuranga Vettai”, “Nerkonda Paarvai”, and “Valimai”. The shooting of “Jana Nayagan” has been completed and the post-production work is currently in full swing.
The film is scheduled to be released on the occasion of Pongal in 2026. This is the last film starring Vijay and has left his millions of fans in high anticipation. At this time, Parthiban, a versatile artist of Tamil cinema, shared a post on his X website. He emotionally shared a failed film experience, a social work done by Vijay, and the joy he got from it.
Parthiban wrote in his post,
"Kalyanasundaram' was a film that ended with a photo session and was dropped. But on the day of the puja, I started by arranging everything from thali to metti, furniture, boxes, and beds for 10 couples at my own expense and making the cinema pujas useful. In the past, Thalapathy Vijay got 16 couples married under my leadership. “Vijay, who gains merit/good karma through this, should thank the bride and groom,” I said at that time. It was only all those good deeds that gave him the courage to start a party.
Someone sent me this photo and it stirred up an old memory..."
