Legs severed while trying to descend from moving train in Kozhikode; Bengaluru native suffers serious injuries

KOZHIKODE: In a tragic accident, a passenger suffered serious injuries to his legs while trying to descend from a moving train in Koyilandy on Saturday. Sivashankar (40), a native of Bommakkal in Bengaluru, suffered serious injuries in the incident.

The accident occurred in front of the ticket counter at the railway station this morning. Sivashankar jumped from a super express train that was coming from Santragachi. This train was not supposed to halt at Koyilandy.

Both of Sivashankar's legs are in a severe condition. The Koyilandy Fire Force took Sivashankar to the Taluk Hospital. Since the injury was serious, he was shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital after initial treatment.
