KOZHIKODE: The Muslim League District Committee has revealed more irregularities in the corporation voter list. There are 327 voters in house number 49/49 in Marad division. The Marad branch of Beypore Service Cooperative Bank has been functioning in this building for years. Votes were added using the building number of the bank controlled by the CPM, says Muslim League.
"When we checked a building in Moonalungal division, which has 70 voters in the voter list, it became clear that there is no such building. In the list of Kozhikode Corporation's 59th division, there are votes under the name Railway Colony with different serial numbers. There have been no residents at this address for years. There are 1408 votes where the voter's name, parents' name and house name are repeated twice. 480 votes were repeated in a booth in the same division. There are many ID card numbers with multiple votes on the same voter ID. League has filed a complaint with the State Election Commission and the Corporation Secretary in this regard," said M.K. Muneer MLA.
"The reason for such a big irregularity is a planned conspiracy by CPM leaders and officials. The officials who facilitated this should be dismissed, and a criminal case should be filed." League District President MA Razak, General Secretary TT Ismail, NC Abubacker, SV Hassankoya, AV Anwar and M Kunjamutty attended the press conference.
