Sexually abused and impregnated minor girl under pretext of marriage; 19-year-old arrested in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: A 19-year-old youth has been arrested for sexually abusing and impregnating a minor girl after promising to marry her. The arrested youth is Kadalundi native Ahadh (19). The Medical College police have registered a case against him under the POCSO Act.

According to the police, Ahadh came into contact with the girl through social media. After developing a relationship, he forced her to send private photos and then repeatedly sexually abused her under the pretext of marriage. When the girl became pregnant, he refused to marry her.

Following this, the girl lodged a complaint with the police. Based on the investigation, Ahadh was arrested from Anangadi. He has been booked under the POCSO Act and produced before the court.
