PAMBA: The Global Ayyappa Sangamam, which discussed the development, possibilities and facilities of Sabarimala, was notable for its excellent organization. The distinguished guests were welcomed with sandalwood paste, appam and aravana. A statue of Ayyappa Swamy on a leopard welcomed them at the entrance.

Representatives from various countries took their seats in the huge pandal. Bhajans and devotional songs created a prayerful atmosphere. The Chief Minister's speech, which was spiritual and emphasised the importance of Sabarimala, gave a grand start. Ministers, public representatives, religious and community leaders spoke about the relevance of Sabarimala. The Sabarimala master plan, spiritual tourism circuit and crowd control preparations were discussed in detail in three sessions. The Ayyappa Sangamam concluded with a devotional song session led by Vijay Yesudas and Veeramani.

Participation decreased

Public participation decreased in the Ayyappa Sangam. Although 4845 people registered online, less than half of them turned up. 623 people turned up, according to the information available on the Devaswom Board website. 500 guests directly invited by the board were also part of the program. The Devaswom Board claims that about 2,000 people attended. Government supporters also attended, in addition to officials.

Although it was decided to inaugurate on 9:30, it was delayed by half an hour. There were also fewer people for the discussions.
