THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Left students and youth organizations are intensifying their protests in the capital city after the central government's education scheme PM Shri was approved in Kerala. AIYF and AISF have decided to publicly protest against the Pinarayi government's action. As part of this, CPI's youth and student organizations will protest in the capital city today. The office bearers have announced that protests will be held in various districts on Monday.
The office bearers of the two organisations said the protests will continue until withdrawn from the PM Shri project. Meanwhile, AIYF burned the effigy of Minister V Sivankutty in Kannur. They protested by shouting slogans against the CPM for supporting the BJP's communal agenda. AIYF district secretary K V Sagar demanded that the CPI withdraw the ministers if the government goes ahead with the decision.
SFI state secretary P S Sanjeev also expressed concern over Kerala signing the PM Shri project. P S Sanjeev told media that he would convey his concerns to the government on the issue. SFI is against the national education policy. The communal stance within it should be opposed. The policy is dangerous for the student community. The SFI is concerned about this and had informed the government about this. The scheme should be implemented by eliminating the bad things in the policy. The government had discussed this with the SFI. Sanjeev clarified that he had conveyed his stance then and would convey again. He added that the strike against the Sangh Parivar would continue.
