Another death due to amoebic meningoencephalitis; Deceased is from Kollam, 12 deaths reported in October alone

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Another person has died in Kerala after being infected with amoebic meningoencephalitis. The deceased is a 65-year-old man from Palathara in Kollam. With this, 12 people have died from the disease in the state in October alone. The total number of deaths this year has reached 32.

Two more cases of infection were confirmed on Friday. The latest death was reported while a detailed study is still underway to determine how the disease is spreading in the state.
