'Today, Honey earns more money in one year than what many top actresses earn from 10 films'

Honey Rose is an actress who has made her mark in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu cinema. She made her debut through director Vinayan's film 'Boyfriend' and has since become a popular star with a huge fan base. Her upcoming film 'Rachel', in which she plays the title role, will hit the theatres on December 6. Now, a remark made by director Vinayan during the trailer launch of Rachel is going viral on social media.

"Rachel surprised me more than I expected. Honey has done that character very well. It is a very serious film, and I appreciate the team for choosing such a subject. Honey Rose first came to meet me around 2002 or 2003 while I was shooting Prithviraj-starrer 'Meerayude Dukhavum Muthuvinte Swapnavum'. Her father wanted her to become a heroine. I told him that she needed to grow a little more.

After two or three years, I decided to do a new film titled 'Boyfriend' with Manikuttan as the hero. While discussing the project, I remembered about Honey, and thus, she became part of the project. Today, Honey earns more money in one year through inaugurations than what many top actresses earn from 10 films. There is no doubt about that. I hope Rachel becomes a huge success,” Vinayan said.
