NEW DELHI: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has once again praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Tharoor's new note is in praise of the Prime Minister's speech in the Ramnath Goenka lecture series. Shashi Tharoor stated that he felt Modi's speech served both as an economic outlook and a cultural call.

Tharoor also noted that the Prime Minister appealed for a 10-year national mission to restore pride in India’s heritage, languages, and knowledge systems. The Prime Minister had harshly criticized the Congress in the presence of Shashi Tharoor. Modi had once again raised the criticism of the Muslim League as a Maoist Congress in his speech. However, Tharoor supported Modi's speech despite the criticism against his party.

The Modi government's decision to send Tharoor abroad to lead the Operation Sindoor delegation, much to the displeasure of the Congress leadership, had further estranged him from the Congress. Tharoor had come to listen to Prime Minister Modi's speech at the Ramnath Goenka Lecture despite a cough and cold.
