MUMBAI: Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has deleted her social media posts related to her wedding after her father suffered a heart attack. This comes after Smriti's father Srinivas Mandhana was admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack and her wedding was postponed. Among the deleted posts is the video of Smriti's fiancé Palash Muchhal proposing to her at the DY Patil Stadium, where the Indian women's cricket team recently lifted the World Cup.

Smriti's close friends and teammates Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil have also deleted posts related to Smriti's wedding. Most of the deleted posts are Instagram reels. Pictures and videos from the haldi, mehndi and sangeet ceremonies were all over social media after the proposal video went viral. A video of the two dancing together during the sangeet ceremony also went viral. The cricketer has now removed all of these.

The wedding preparations had been going on for two days at Mandhana Farm House in Smriti's hometown of Sangli in Maharashtra. Srinivas felt unwell during breakfast on Sunday, which was scheduled for the wedding. An ambulance was immediately brought to the wedding venue and Srinivas was taken to the hospital. Smriti decided that the wedding ceremonies should be held only after her father returned healthy. Doctors have informed that Srinivas' health condition is currently satisfactory and he is under observation. His blood pressure is high. The doctors said that if this continues, they will consider performing an angiogram.
