Veteran journalist S Jayashankar passes away

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: S Jayashankar (75), senior journalist and former editorial committee member of Kerala Kaumudi passed away. He died at his residence in Jagathy Friday morning at 6:45 am. He had served for a very long time in the Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur bureaus of Kerala Kaumudi. He was the state general secretary of Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ).
He was a bachelor and lived with his sister. He is the son of former Thiruvananthapuram mayor Sathyakaman Nair. He will be laid to rest at Thycaud Shanthikavadam by 4 pm.
