THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It was Congress that provided a safe hiding space for Rahul Mamkoottathil MLA, said the CPM state secretary MV Govindan. No matter where, Rahul will be found, he said. In the press meeting, Govindan added that Shafi Parambil MP and Rahul can be tied to the same yoke.

The CPM state secretary responded to the Sabarimala gold theft, too. "The guilty should be brought in front of the law. The government took the right stand. Nobody who conducted the theft at Sabarimala will be spared, and the guilty will face organisational measures." Meantime, he also said that the biggest temple gold plunder that happened in the state was during the time when K Karunakaran served as the chief minister, quoting the looting of the deity’s jewels from the Guruvayoor temple.

LDF will get a huge win in the local body election, Govindan opined. "Extreme poverty has been wiped off in Kerala. The local body election result will be a testament to the government's development report. LDF will take back Kannur corporation this time." He also said that the politics of the opposition is anti-developmental.
