KANNUR: More information emerge in the incident of finding four of a family dead at home. The four have been identified as K T Kaladharan (36) of Ramanthali Vadakkumbad near Payyannur in Kannur, his two children Hima (6), Kannan (2) and mother Usha (56). Kaladharan and his mother were found hanging in the bedroom and his children were found lying dead on the floor.

There was a legal dispute with his wife at the family court. The court had ordered Kaladharan to hand over his children to their mother. It is suspected that this may have led him to take the extreme step. Initial reports said that after poisoning his two children, he and his mother may have committed suicide.

When Usha’s husband A K Unnikrishnan, an auto driver of Payyannur Town, reached home at night, found the house locked. He knocked the door but there was no response. He found a letter on the sit out. On being informed, the police came and opened the door.

Kaladharan was a chef. His wife had approached the police with the court directive to send her children with her. The police had called Unnikrishnan yesterday and directed him to leave the children today. When he came home found the four dead.
