Save Box app fraud case; Jayasurya questioned by ED; statement of actor's wife Saritha also recorded

KOCHI: Actor Jayasurya was questioned and released by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Save Box app fraud case. The statement of the actor's wife Saritha was also recorded. It is Saritha who handles Jayasurya's financial affairs. Jayasurya had a contract as the brand ambassador of Save Box. The questioning was held at the Kochi office.

It was previously discovered that a huge fraud had taken place in the name of the online auction app Save Box. The actor was invited to become the brand ambassador of the app by offering Rs 2 crore. The actor had also acted in the ads for the app. This is the second time Jayasurya has been questioned in connection with the case. The police had earlier registered a case against a Thrissur native in the incident of swindling lakhs of rupees from several people on the pretext of opening business establishments in various places under the name Save Box.
