KOZHIKODE: M.S. Mathew, the co-accused in the serial murders in Koodathayi, said that the cyanide used for the killings was handed over to the prime accused Jolly at the Ponnamattom House. Mathew admitted this during evidence examination in Ponnamattom House. Jolly had earlier revealed to police that she used cyanide in one bottle and drained one.
In her statement, Jolly also said that she mixed cyanide in alcohol to kill Mathew Manchadiyil-her first husband Roy’s relative. She also admitted about drinking with Mathew Manchadiyil.
The examination of evidence was first held at Ponnamattom House, where the first three deaths occurred. As part of the inspection, security was beefed up in the area. When Jolly arrived here, the locals booed.
The police also probed for the Jolly’s educational details but couldn’t find it. Jolly had said that her Aadhar and ration card is not in the house. At around 1.30 pm Jolly was taken to Mathew Manchadiyil’s residence nearby as part of the investigation.
