Police officer on duty dies in Sabarimala 

PATHANAMTHITTA: A police officer died in Sabarimala. The dead is Jayan K K, a senior civil police officer of Muvattupuzha police station. His life could not be saved even after rushing him to a hospital in Pampa following heart ailments.

The incident happened Monday night at 8.30 pm. Jayan was on duty at the northern nada of Sannidhanam. He collapsed while walking. He was later taken to the hospital in Sannidhanam and given primary treatment and then shifted him to the hospital in Pampa, but his life could not be saved. He died at around 1 am. He belongs to Kuttampuzha in Kothamangalam. His body will be brought home soon.
