Death takes Sarath before German dreams bloom; one dead, Kerala Kaumudi staff member in critical condition

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One person died in a motorcycle accident in Pettah. The condition of one person remains critical. The other person is seriously injured, but his health is satisfactory. The deceased in the accident that took place on Tuesday night is Sarath (21), a native of Balaramapuram Plamoottukada. He is the son of the late Vincent and Shobha couple. The funeral was held after the body was handed over to the relatives following the postmortem. Authorities said that the condition of the seriously injured Sibin (29) is satisfactory. He is a native of Kottarakkara.

The seriously injured S. Ajil (33), a native of Nagaroor Cherukkaram, was on a ventilator at the Medical College Hospital. He was shifted to a private hospital on Wednesday night. Ajil is a senior social media associate of Kerala Kaumudi.

The incident took place at Petta Junction at around 11.15 pm on Tuesday. The bike on which the deceased Sarath was riding was being driven by Sibin. This bike was speeding from Chakka to Petta. Ajil, who was coming from the Anayara side on a bike, was hit by this bike and thrown off. All three of them fell face down on the road. The front of both bikes was completely destroyed in the accident. All three were lying bleeding on the road. As soon as the information was received, the police and 108 ambulance reached the spot and shifted the injured to the Medical College Hospital. The Petta police have registered a case in the incident.

Tragedy struck Sarath when he was about to leave for Delhi on Thursday. He had planned to go to Delhi to take a German language exam to go to Germany. His mother Shobha is an employee in a shop in Parasala. His elder brother Shyam is a student in London.
