THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala High Court will reconsider the anticipatory bail plea of Rahul Mamkootathil MLA, accused in the first rape case, today. Senior advocate John S Ralph is appearing for the survivor. The complainant's affidavit in the case has been submitted to the court. The affidavit contains serious allegations against Rahul.

The complainant says that she faced brutal rape and that the nude video captured after threatening her is on Rahul's phone. The affidavit says that if he is granted anticipatory bail, the footage on the phone presently in the hands of the police will be seized and that she is afraid of him misusing it. The woman alleged that she was forced to abort and that Rahul confirmed through a video call that she took the pills delivered by his friend Joby.

The affidavit includes pictures of the injuries sustained during the rape, threat chats and voice messages. The affidavit says that Rahul is a sexual pervert and made a deliberate attempt to mislead the trial court and the high court by telling distorted truths and half-truths in his bail plea.

The investigation team has information about ten cases of rape in which Rahul is an accused. One of them is a minor. The affidavit also states that granting bail to an MLA with power and influence will silence the complainants to come forward. Cyber-attacks against the survivor are continuing. There are also reports that Rahul is not cooperating with the investigation.
