PATHANAMTHITTA: The CPM has levelled allegations against Pathanamthitta MP Anto Antony in the Sabarimala gold theft case. Former Pathanamthitta district secretary and CPM state committee member K P Udayabhanu has levelled serious allegations against Anto Antony. The SIT had informed that Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru had not filed a complaint despite losing Rs 2.5 crore deposited in a private money lending firm. Udayabhanu alleged that Anto Antony received money from this firm.

Kandararu Rajeevaru had deposited the money in Nedumparambil Finance in Thiruvalla. The finance company is closed now. K P Udayabhanu alleged that there is a rumor that Anto Antony MP received Rs 2.5 crore from here. Udayabhanu demanded to know the MP's relationship with the Tantri.

Rs 2.5 crore deposited by the Tantri is undocumented money. The SIT had searched Nedumparambil Finance a few days ago and collected documents. Udayabhanu demanded an investigation by a special investigation team on the mysterious money transaction from the MP’s side.

Meanwhile, the SIT questioned former Devaswom Board president P S Prasanth again. P S Prasanth was questioned in connection with the Sabarimala gold theft. It is reported that the SIT has received indications that Prasanth has a major role in the gold theft.
