A1 hotel with poor quality; food poisoning leaves 50 people hospitalised, Thiruvananthapuram corporation closes restaurant 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Around fifty people who ate food from a restaurant in Venchavode, Sreekaryam, Thiruvananthapuram, have contracted food poisoning. The people who contracted food poisoning ate food from the A-1 Hotel in Venchavode.

Those who ate food from here on Saturday evening fell ill. Most of them started experiencing health problems on Monday. Many of them had serious health problems. All those who had food poisoning are being treated at various hospitals in the district. People sought treatment after experiencing physical ailments including headaches and vomiting. The corporation authorities closed the restaurant following the incident.
