Two KSRTC buses and tanker lorry collide in Kottarakkara; several injured

KOLLAM: Several people were injured after two KSRTC buses and a petrol tanker collided in Kottarakkara Vayakkal. The incident took place on MC Road at around 3:30 pm today. The Kottayam-bound fast passenger bus and the tanker lorry collided first. The shuttle bus, heading towards Adoor, was trailing the KSRTC bus, but crashed into it following the first collision.

The driver of the fast passenger bus was removed after considerable effort. The injured have been admitted to the Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital. The fire force, police and locals are carrying out the rescue operation.
