P T Usha’s husband V Sreenivasan dies

KOZHIKODE: V Sreenivasan, husband of Rajya Sabha MP and president of Indian Olympics Association P T Usha, died Friday early morning. He was 64. He collapsed and died at Ushus House in Thikkodi Perumalpuram at around 1 am. Although he was rushed to a nearby hospital, his life could not be saved. P T Usha was not at home at the time of the incident.

Sreenivasan is the son of Narayanan of Vengali Tharavad in Kuttikkad, Ponnani. He was a kabadi player and retired DySP of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). He married his distant relative Usha in 1991. The couple have a son Dr Ujwal Vignesh. Usha has returned home after attending the Parliament session. The time for the cremation has not been fixed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on the passing away of Usha’s husband.
