Panchayat member sworn in hospital, dies

PALAKKAD: A panchayat member, who was battling cancer, died here today. The dead has been identified as Sushama Mohandas (55) of Pattanchery in Palakkad. She died at a private hospital in Ernakulam where she was undergoing treatment. She was a member of Indian Socialist Janata Dal party from ninth ward Parakattuchalla. As she was ill and undergoing treatment, Sushma took the oath in the hospital.
