‘If I stand alone, I am a zero, if you stand with me, I am a hero'; Padma Bhushan to be handed over to community, says Vellapally

KOTTAYAM: SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan said the Padma Bhushan will be dedicated to the community. He said that he rejects the criticisms. He was speaking at the reception accorded to him by the Kottayam SNDP Union at the Nagampadam temple.

'Many have tried to kill me at various stages, but all those who tried to kill me have died. I am still standing like a seed of the jackfruit. I reject all criticisms against me. I will tell unnecessary critics, ‘poda pulle' (get lost). The chair given by the community has not been watered.

I have no parliamentary ambition. If felt that I have ambition, I should be sent to Oolampara. Some are paying money to YouTubers to talk bad about me. If I stand alone, I am a zero, if you stand with me, I am a hero.

While people from other communities are building big houses, those homeless are from backward communities and scheduled castes. Most of those who go for employment-guaranteed jobs are from the Ezhava community. In Kottayam, a vote of an Ezhava is worthless. It should turn a valuable vote,' said Vellappally Natesan.
