PALAKKAD: A 13-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself in the washroom of his house. The dead is Viswajith, son of Sivaprasad of Poonthancode in Elakkad and Sajitha. He was a seventh-class student of St Paul’s School in Kozhinjampara.

The incident happened Thursday morning. As usual, Viswajith entered the washroom to bathe. When he did not come out after a long time, the parents became concerned and when they broke opened the bathroom door, found him hanging from a towel.

His parents did not allow him to go to the football academy for practice. The police’ initial conclusion is that Vishwajith committed suicide out of disappointment. After inquest proceedings, the body was shifted to the mortuary of the district hospital.
