Worried over faulty phone, nursing student ends life in Thiruvalla

THIRUVALLA: A nursing student ended his life at his home due to mental distress after his phone turned defective. The dead is Aaron Anil Jose (19) of Kuttoor in Thiruvalla. The incident happened at around 9 pm on Sunday night. Aaron was a first-year student at a nursing college in Tamil Nadu. Aaron's mobile phone was not working for the past two days. Initial investigations reveal that he was severely depressed over not being able to repair his phone and not receiving his father's phone in return.


Aaron was addicted to his phone. After his phone malfunctioned, he was silent and did not talk to anyone. He was staying with his father at home. Aaron's mother is in Canada over her daughter’s delivery. The Thiruvalla police reached the spot, completed the inquest proceedings and shifted the body to the mortuary. A case of unnatural death has been registered and an investigation has been started.
